Course Summary:
This course provides an in-depth discussion of The Rainscreen Principle to include all technical aspects such as air barriers, continuous insulation, girt systems, and a detailed review of the many different cladding options available to the market.
Covering these five critical design considerations:
(i) Air, Vapor & Water Control
(ii) Thermal Efficiency
(iii) Fire Safety
(iv) Sustainability
(v) Cladding Options.
After becoming acclimated with this principle and its history, attendees will review how the rainscreen principle contributes to the health, safety and welfare of the project participants and the eventual occupants.
